On February 1, 2021, Nigeria Network of Women Peace and Security in ECOWAS Region, formally lunch the network in Nigeria. It serves as an avenue to enlist Nigeria into the regional network of the 15 ECOWAS countries. The network is to promote peace and security for women in the country.
Present at the event was the National President of JONAPWD and Executive Director of FACICP DISABILITY PLUS Ms Ekaete Judith Umoh who joined other Nigerian Women to lunch the network, Hon. Minister of Women’s Affairs, Her Excellency Dame Pauline Tallen and Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, Representative from Ecowas and one CSOs from women movement representing each state in Nigeria.
The President of the Joint National Association of Persons with disabilities (JONAPWD) and the Executive Director of FACICP Disability Plus, Ms Ekaete Judith Umoh serves as representative for all persons with disabilities in Nigeria, and also as representative for Akwa-ibom state through her organizations FACICP Disability Plus. It is an opportunity to promote peace and security for all women with disability in Akwa-Ibom state and in Nigeria in general.
